What do President Emeritus Edward Fenech Adami and Three Hills kunserva have in common? They are both 75 this year and Dr Fenech Adami, together with dozens of other people, born in 1934, have celebrated their year of birth in style at Melita Gardens, Balzan. Magro Brothers decided to create “Club 34” on the occasion of their brand leader Kunserva’s 75th anniversary. They invited all those born in that year to a reception to share memories, friendships, re-join past schoolmates and reminisce the good old days. They were also presented with personalized glass mementoes and Three Hills hampers.

An emotional John Magro, managing director of Magro Brothers, commented to the good-humored crowd, that he feels very proud that he could follow in his father’s footsteps and manage to keep Three Hills Kunserva tasting so good and loved by all, even after all these years! In a short impromptu speech, Dr Fenech Adami congratulated John on his success, determination and above all creativity in his management of the company and brand-leading products, adding that he doesn’t know any other company who has dedicated so much time and effort to marketing their products. The Gozitan food processor has organized a number of events to mark the anniversary of Kunserva, including a drawing competition for children which got over 1,000 entries. It has also launched 2 new versions of the great-tasting Kunserva to reflect today’s health-conscious society: a low salt version (in a red can) and a reduced sugar version (in a green can).

A very pleasant time was had by all... and the young 75-year-olds are now all looking forward to celebrating the big eight-O with Three Hills Brand Kunserva!
