In recognition of John Magro’s contribution to the socio-cultural and economic development of Gozo, has been awarded the prestigious award for “Gieh Ghawdex”. Over the years, Mr Magro has strived to place Gozo on an international level in the food industry; employing over 100 full time staff in his ISO 22000, centre-of-excellence, factory. The Hon. Giovanna Debono, Minster for Gozo presided over the award-giving ceremony organised by Circolo Gozitano. Archbishop Emeritus H.E. Mgr. Joseph Mercieca and Mr Franco Masini were also recognised for their contribution to Gozo.
