Zalza Prima is the latest addition to the vast Mayor range. These new tomato pasta sauces are targeted towards clients who love Mediterranean food with a distinguished taste of sun ripened Maltese tomatoes.

The Magro family has been in the sauce-making industry for four generations. “With the help of trusted chefs and keeping in mind the continuous cultural change in the market, we have developed a range of pasta sauces which clearly reflects the rich Maltese gastronomy. Presently the Zalza Prima range consists of four popular recipes:

• Zalza Prima Tomato, Pepper & Aubergine – A mild piquant sauce made from the freshest Maltese tomatoes, Peppers and Aubergines blended together with other herbs and spices. This sauce helps you create distinctive, full-flavoured pasta dishes.
• Zalza Prima Sun-Dried Tomato & Garlic is a traditionally Mediterranean pasta sauce. Delicious with both hot and cold pasta dishes, this sauce adds an added bite to your dishes.
• Zalza Prima Tomato & Herbs – The hand-picked sun-ripe tomatoes with the careful selection of fresh herbs makes this sauce excellent for light summery pasta dishes.
• Zalza Prima Juicy Tomato – the name says it all - this juicy sauce is wholly made with wholesome, sun-ripe tomatoes. It is a versatile sauce that can be used as a base sauce for most pasta sauces and it is also ideal for kids as this sauce has “no bits” added.

Inside the Zalza Prima packs, Magro Brothers are also launching the Mayor Health Guide. This is a new labeling system which is easy to follow and very informative. It gives you dietary information about how many calories, sugar, fat, saturates and salts there are inside these sauces and the percentages that each value represents in your recommended daily intake.
