Farmers Meetings in preparations for tomato season 2015
Hon. Roderick Galdes, Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights; Mr John Magro, Chairman of Magro Brothers Group of Companies and high Ministerial Officials addressed two well attended meetings for farmers cultivating tomatoes for processing. in Malta and Gozo. Both meetings were held on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st January 2015.
The main focus and discussions that followed were on the new EU Voluntary Coupled Support scheme which will guide, both processors and farmers involved in the tomatoes for processing sector, through the current EU budget for 2014 – 2020.
